Between Two Doors: A Conversation with Tracey Goens – Heart, Homes, and Hope in Daphne, AL

In this episode of Between Two Doors, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Tracey Goens, a top-producing Realtor and lifelong Baldwin County resident who’s built her real estate career on heart, hustle, and an unwavering commitment to community.

From the moment we started talking, it was clear that Tracey doesn’t just sell homes—she builds lasting relationships. With nearly 20 years in the industry and a place among the top 1% of Baldwin County Realtors, she blends expertise with a personal touch that turns transactions into lifelong friendships.

A Local with Deep Roots and a Heart for Service

Tracey’s real estate journey began in Daphne in 2005, and she’s never looked back. What drew her in wasn’t a love for houses—it was a love for people. She finds joy in learning about her clients’ lives, hearing their stories, and helping them through major life transitions with grace and empathy. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer, a couple navigating a divorce, or a growing family, Tracey is there every step of the way—offering not only real estate guidance, but emotional support, practical help, and connection to her trusted network of local professionals.

Life in Daphne: A Hidden Gem on the Gulf

Tracey paints a vivid picture of life in Daphne: sunsets at Bayfront Park, music on the bluff, and a lifestyle rich with community, culture, and charm. From locally-owned restaurants like Southwood Kitchen and Tamara’s to live music at The Bluegill and The Wharf, the area offers a unique blend of Southern hospitality and coastal cool.

Families are drawn to Daphne for its strong schools, youth sports, and close-knit vibe. "We really do live in paradise," Tracey says, and after hearing her describe it, it's easy to see why.

More Than a Realtor: A Champion for Children and Crime Victims

What truly sets Tracey apart is her heart for service. She serves on the board of the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center, which supported over 400 children last year. From fundraising events like “Under the Stars” to gathering comfort items for kids in crisis, Tracey is hands-on and all-in. “There are so many little ways to help,” she says. “Even just buying snacks for the kids makes a difference.”

She’s also deeply involved with VOCAL (Victims of Crime and Leniency), a cause that became personal after the tragic loss of her father. Tracey now supports other families navigating the justice system, offering emotional support, financial assistance, and even courtroom presence. “If I can do something good out of this to help others, I feel like I’m shining a light for my dad,” she shared.

Advice for Buyers and Sellers

For those stepping into the home buying journey, Tracey offers practical and compassionate advice:

  • Start with trust – Find a real estate agent and lender you feel comfortable with.

  • Get pre-approved early – Understand your budget, loan options, and potential insurance costs.

  • Ask questions – “There’s no such thing as a stupid question,” she reminds clients.

  • Stay calm through the process – It can be stressful, but with good communication and a solid team, it’s manageable.

“Most of my clients become friends,” she said. And that’s not just a sentiment—it’s her business model.
