From Bee Farmer to Branch Manager

  • Roots in Service

    • Grew up in East Milton, FL; later moved to Sherman, TX, and graduated from Hardin-Simmons University before serving 15 years as a U.S. Army officer.

    • Post-military, drove for three and a half years as an Uber driver, where a chance passenger—bank owner Ron Fountain—encouraged me to get my mortgage license.

  • Transition to Mortgage

    • Entered the mortgage world in 2018, riding the tail end of the refinance boom, then pivoted to building a retail business as rates and market conditions shifted.

Building Relationships, One Turnip at a Time

  • Relational Lending

    • I spend at least two hours a day on the phone with real estate agents, plus time coaching homebuyers through the prep work needed to become mortgage ready.

    • The mortgage process can range from 10 days (fast-track closings) to 18 months, depending on each borrower’s unique journey—and I’m here for every step.

  • Gardening & Gratitude

    • Gardening teaches delayed gratification: planting tiny seeds in winter, then enjoying a summer harvest. Likewise, guiding a first-time buyer to homeownership can take time, but the payoff is worth it.
